Dr. Afifi earned his undergraduate degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at UCLA, graduating with honors, before completing his Doctorate in Dental Surgery at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. He's recognized across the Inland Empire for thorough, gentle care, and continues ongoing education to keep his patients' treatment current.

It depends on the procedure. Many are done with local anesthesia while you stay awake. Dr. Afifi will discuss your options.
Most patients experience mild swelling and discomfort for a few days, manageable with over-the-counter or prescribed pain relief.
Most patients feel significantly better within a few days, with full gum healing taking one to two weeks.
If you receive sedation beyond local anesthesia, yes. We'll let you know in advance if this applies to your procedure.
Soft foods like soup, yogurt, and smoothies are generally recommended for the first few days.
